It’s not a Frog Fractions. April Grove is exactly what it looks like on the surface: a very simple game about walking through a forest, and chopping wood. It’s only a step or two removed from being a full-on idle game. There’s no real threat of making a mistake or failing. Just the slow, steady sound of your axe chopping away at the trees, and the satisfaction of watching your XP bar fill until you hit the next level. This is the sort of game that you play when you want to do something, but don’t have the energy to do anything.
