The core mechanics and turn-to-turn gameplay is very fun. The challenge is reasonable, though certainly spicy at higher difficulties, but it feels like the game wants you to have fun and win. The way you’re trickled little story snippets for victories and how you’re encouraged to start with a blend three different playstyles each time adds the required variety to keep things engaging and fun. Your deck is based from the three characters you choose at the start of every run. Each of them specialize in a different aspect, which you mix together to form a combined playstyle (You will however need to switch up your crew combinations in to progress through the story). The difficulty doesn’t scale up too hard across a run, but instead comes from trying to overcome the early to mid game to get a solid build going.
