Gain attack bonuses when your cells form specific shapes with their long bodies. Dominate with godlike build synergies. Make use of poison, radiation, thorns & more. Cell Command is the perfect mashup of grid-based tactics, roguelite progression and snake. Only played an hour and feel like I barely scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. Only thing I dislike about the upgrade system is it just permanently makes the game easier, I wish there was a way to disable upgrades to give yourself a challenge. On the other hand, perks and commanders being more like sidegrades with pretty balanced upsides and downsides is done really well, and adds even more variety to an already huge game. Quite in-depth with lots of build potential, while being relatively simple and unique in its gameplay. It’s not without flaw, but I can definitely see myself trying to 100% a game like this. I LOVE roguelites that give you heaps of freedom and choice in your builds, and if you like that too, definitely try this game out.
